If you have this formula in your home, follow these steps immediately:
- Stop feeding your baby the formula right away.
- Do not discard any opened cans yet; the CDC and FDA recommend labeling them "DO NOT USE" and storing them safely for a month in case public health officials request testing. Unopened cans can be discarded or returned.
- Monitor your infant for symptoms of botulism, which can include constipation, poor feeding, weak crying, drooping eyelids, low muscle tone, and difficulty swallowing or breathing.
